The Department of History, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Sree Narayana College, Sivagiri, organized a Bridge Course session titled "Numbers in Stone: The Historical Mathematics of South Indian Architecture" on 27 July 2026 at 1.45 PM in Room No. 51.
Dr. Sanma G. R., Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, served as the resource person and highlighted the mathematical principles underlying South Indian temple architecture, including geometry, symmetry, proportion, and structural design. The interactive session enabled FYUGP History students to appreciate the interdisciplinary links between history, mathematics, and heritage, making the programme an enriching and insightful learning experience.
